ST. LOUIS, Mo - A West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine publication has won first place in the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine’s (AACOM) 2008 “Excellence in Communication Awards” held in St. Louis, Missouri.

WVSOM’s viewbook won in the “Best Recruitment Publication” category, which was presented during the awards dinner at AACOM’s annual meeting. According to Wendy Bresler, AACOM’s Vice President for Communications and Marketing, the WVSOM publication was selected from nearly a dozen entries by a panel of recruitment, design and marketing experts.

The viewbook was the concept of Art Director Pat Bauserman, who designed and completed a majority of the layout and photography. Other contributors included Jeff Cobb, writer/editor; Patricia Perkins and Sarah Lively of the Admissions Department for photo and current information input; medical student Chellie Abe, contributing photographer; and various academic office consultants.
